Relive the story of the Polar Express on this day trip!
View Dates & BookCreate memories that will last a lifetime and experience the magic of The Polar Express. Steaming back to the Yorkshire Dales, The Polar Express will amaze and delight all ages. Get your pyjamas and dressing gowns on ready for a fully immersive theatrical experience that will take you beyond the station of Leeming Bar at Wensleydale. All you need to do is believe!
Santa will join you on board and, if you are on the nice list, hand you your first gift of Christmas, a Silver Sleigh Bell just like in the motion picture we all love! You will get to say hello to Santa as he hands you your first gift of Christmas, and if you purchase The Polar Express book in the gift shop before boarding he might even sign it. You will also get to meet other characters from the film, including the conductor, the singing chefs, and the hobo. Throughout the journey, you may tangle with the caribou and other magical happenings, as you have the original story of The Polar Express told by the singing Chefs!
Just like the film you will be served hot chocolate and a tasty cookie just like the film! An alternative hot chocolate and a snack free from many allergens can be substituted, but unfortunately they may not to be able to accommodate all possible allergies or diertary requirements.
The gift shop is available before and after the Train Ride and is for ticket holders only. A lot of the merchandise in our gift shop is event exclusive and will not be on the online store. They also have an online Gift Shop North Pole Trading where you are able to purchase a range of The Polar Express Train Ride items throughout the year.
For guests with difficulties walking, they do try to accommodate you as best as possible whilst also having restrictions of running the event at a heritage railway. They are unable to accommodate wheelchairs on board the train due to the nature of heritage carriages. There are toilets available for disabled guests. Should you wish to use the facilities please ask a member of staff who will be happy to guide you to them.
