Experience the thrill of riding behind the World's first steam locomotive to reach 100mph! Weighing 97 tons and measuring 70ft long, this Doncaster-built legend is back home in Yorkshire for a limited period of time this Autumn.
View Dates & BookBuilt in 1923 by the LNER, 'Flying Scotsman' has had a lengthy and varied history; from performing the first non-stop run between London and Edinburgh in 1928 to breaking the record in 1934. Even after retirement in 1963, the story continued with the locomotive being overhauled in time to celebrate 40 years since the non-stop run with a recreation in 1968.
