National Memorial Arboretum & Lichfield

Set in 150 acres with over 25,000 trees and 400 memorials for those who have sacrificed their lives, the National Memorial Arboretum is filled with with interesting and unusual features, and was conceived as a living tribute to the war time generations of the twentieth century and as a gift to their memory for future generations to reflect upon and enjoy. You can stroll around the estate alone or take guided walks, listen to memorial talks, or take the landtrain on a tour of the site with commentary (payable on the day).  . There is a restaurant serving food and a cafe serving coffees. Apart from the warmth and comfort of the Visitor Centre, the National Memorial Arboretum is an outdoor site, so it is advisable to check that you are appropriately dressed. Please wear stout walking shoes, there is a lot of walking on paths and grass.

We also visit Lichfield, a vibrant and historic city located in the heart of Staffordshire! With streets lined with museums, independent shops, popular restaurants and more, there is so much to do in Lichfield.

Please Note: If you wish to take a mobility scooter, wheelchair or rollator with you it must be requested at the time of booking. Any such equipment must fold flat for storage or be capable of being broken down into pieces of no more than 20kg. We cannot accept larger scooters (class 3) as these are too large and heavy to lift. We sometimes operate minibus feeders to minimise time, these vehicles CANNOT convey motorised wheelchairs/scooters.
