Burnby Hall & Gardens & McArthur Glen

Originally the estate of Major Percy Stewart, Burnby Hall Gardens & Museum was left in trust upon his death in 1962. The gardens feature upper and lower lakes set within nine acres of woodland and gardens and hold a National Collection of over 100 varieties of hardy water lily. The Stewart Museum houses a remarkable collection of artefacts collected by Major Stewart during eight world tours undertaken between 1906 and 1926, some of which have been recognised by UNESCO.

Please Note: If you wish to take a mobility scooter, wheelchair or rollator with you it must be requested at the time of booking. Any such equipment must fold flat for storage or be capable of being broken down into pieces of no more than 20kg. We cannot accept larger scooters (class 3) as these are too large and heavy to lift. We sometimes operate minibus feeders to minimise time, these vehicles CANNOT convey motorised wheelchairs/scooters.
