Spend the day with us as we visit both Harrogate and Knaresborough!
View Dates & BookKnaresborough: There are plenty of things to do in Knaresborough all year round. The marketplace in the centre of the town offers a great place to enjoy a cup of tea or something delicious and home baked. On a Wednesday stalls fill the marketplace offering tasty produce, whole foods, plants and flowers, as well as pretty much anything else you can imagine, in the ever-popular Knaresborough Market. At the base of the cliffs on which the town sits, you will find a delightful promenade that traps the sun in summer, with a coastal feel despite being more than 60 miles from the sea making a great place to enjoy an ice-cream or indulge in the tradition English pastime of simply mucking about in boats.
Harrogate: There is so much to see and do in Harrogate, from the iconic 19th century Pump Room (home to a fascinating museum of the towns fashionable Spa history), the nearby Mercer Gallery with its collection of artwork spanning the centuries right up to present day, the stunning Victorian Royal Baths home to the internationally famous Turkish Baths and Spa, to the delightful cobbled Montpellier Quarter housing art galleries, antique and vintage shops, jewellers, boutiques, restaurants, cafes, and bars! Harrogates parks and gardens are an intrinsic part of its charm, and the Valley Gardens will offer a happy hour of exploration for anyone with an interest in horticulture and many hours more entertainment for young active minds with limitless energy.
